Verge Sport Australia (previously Sommerville Sport) create unsurpassed quality custom cycling kit. When they came to Australia, we we're brought in to help create a couple of standout introductory kits to announce their arrival. Davo and The S-Dot kits were born and are out on the streets. We continue to work with Verge Sports (Aus) as their design partner.

169 Drummond Street

Branding // Collateral // Online

169 drummond street website and branding design

Located in Carlton, 169 Drummond Street is a 19th Century terrace, authentically renovated as a beautiful Bed & Breakfast, retaining original features including marble fireplaces and polished floors with Persian runners and winding cedar staircases. Their website just didn't cut the mustard, so South was brought in to give the brand a refresh and revive a tired website.

We refreshed the 169 Drummond Street brand to bring it into line with the clients vision for the website re-design. A simple one paged site with clean concise information was developed that clearly defined 169 Drummond Street and gave potential customers a better feel for the property and host.

Peaceful Heart Pathways

Peaceful Heart Pathways logo

Every human being will be affected by grief and loss at different stages of life. Counselling can provide a setting, unique to each person, to explore feelings and thoughts in a safe and confidential manner. Peaceful Heart Pathways offer this counselling.

The brief was fairly open, but the client wanted a unique brand icon that could be used as the foundation. Something that could be built upon as the business grew. Non judgemental, gender neutral, something that had a meaning. We worked on several themes but things really gelled when we created the combined maze, P and heart. It was iconic whilst still having the attributes that met the brief whilst creating a beautiful and unique icon.

Art Through Therapy

Art Through Therapy (ATT) offer workshops to help create new connections and understanding around certain core issues of the participant’s life that may have been too traumatic to voice, and offer relief from negative physical symptoms. We developed an interesting colour palette to compliment the textured type treatment. The colours are then combined with imagery and clean layouts to add a sense of crispness to the brand.

Mixtape zine

mixtape zine magazine design

Mixtape is a craft maga(ZINE) about making time for the small things! Mixtape is a collision of craft, eco-cool and pop culture kitsch. Mixtape was launched back in 2007. Justine & Nichola wanted to create more than a zine, something that featured craft, music, pop culture, recipes - a real mixed bag. Articles were written by anyone and everyone, collated from many submissions and crafted (see what we did there) into a fantastic zine that took the world by storm (literally).

Mixtape was so successful that within 4 issues it went from being photocopied and hand assembled in the lounge room, to selling out an offset print run of 2000. It grew each year and was distributed worldwide, paving the way for future publications of the genre. Mixtape ceased production in 2011.
